FAQs

Q: My cart pulls to the left/right.

A: We record the motor output of every unit before leaving the factory.  The variance should not be greater than 3%.  If you find your cart pulling to one side, you can try the following:

     1. Adjust the alignment of the front wheel(for a fixed front wheel cart like Clicgear 3.5+). Here's a video showing how the alignment can be adjust for Clicgear 3.5+: https://youtu.be/eRNYugJ8GFM

     2. Turn on the "gyro" function by pressing the "G" button on your remote.  Once it is on, the computer regulates the speed of each motor and will try to match them.

     3. Make sure the weight distribution of your bag is even.

Q: If I leave my unit plugged into the charger overnight, will it decrease the lifetime of the battery?

A: No.  The output of the charger is very small when the battery is close to fully charged.  It is called "trickle charge".  However, we don't recommend leaving it plugged in for a long period of time(such as over the winter) because the charger can get worn out.

Q: My cart is hard to turn.

A: Slow the cart down to speed 1 or 2 before making a turn.  The differentials are greater and you will find turning easier.  Placing heavy items such as water bottles closer to the rear wheels will also help turning.

Q: How long is the battery life?

A: The battery is guaranteed for 500 lifecycles.  So you can play at least 500 rounds.  That is about 5 years before having to replace the battery, if you play 2 times a week.  The battery drops lower than 70% of its normal capacity when it is considered to be exhausted.  So when you find it cannot make 18 holes, then you should replace your battery.

Q: How long is the battery life inside the remote?

A: The battery inside your remote should last 10 rounds of golf.  We recommend charging it every 3-4 rounds.

Q: Does the Clicgear 3.5+ bracket fit the Rovic RV1S cart or other models?

A: No.  Each brand and model were designed very differently.  You need the right brackets for the right model.  Brackets are available at our Sydney warehouse.

Q: Where can I find spare parts?

A: We store all the spare parts at our Sydney warehouse.  Feel free to contact us anytime when you need a replacement.

Q: Can I play in the rain?

A: Yes. The Club Booster V2 is rain proof but not water proof.  Please stay out of the pond.

Q: What happen if the remote runs out of range?  Do I have to chase after it?

A: No. The unit and the remote has a two way communication.  It stops when it is out of range.

Q: My cart tips backward when going uphill.

A: Install the wheelie bars if you are playing on a hilly course to prevent tipping.  You may also distribute the weight of the bag so that it is less prone to tip.

Q: Why should I buy the Club Booster V2 instead of other electric cart brands?

A: If you already own a push buggy, then you probably have other accessories to go with it. Rather than letting it sit in the garage or putting it on eBay, you can retrofit it easily.  A decent electric buggy starts at $1,000, some can get up to $3,000-$5,000.  The cheaper ones usually doesn't come with a remote, and uses a bulky heavy lead acid battery that can last you one or two seasons.  The whole setup is heavy and takes a lot of your trunk space.  Not to mention lack of a good console and accessories.

The Club Booster V2, on the other hand, is only a fraction of what it would cost for a premium brand.  It is more stable thanks to the wide wheel base.  It saves your trunk space and it is much easier getting in and out of your car.  It has a trendy look.

Q: I'm looking to buy a new cart.  Should I get a fixed front wheel or a swivel front wheel cart?  Which brand do you recommend?

A: We definitely recommend a buggy with a front swivel wheel.  We tested a fair amount of buggies on the market.  The Bagboy® Tri-swivel is by far the best cart because of its rigidity and amount of storage space.  Alternatively, our Omni cart works great and it is more reasonable in price.
